So right before my laptop died a tragic death, I was actually in the process of trying to make Expat Bostonians a bit more professional.
I purchased the domain name Expatbostonians.com (if you use the old like, it will redirect you, but if you’ve been missing new blog posts, try updating the bookmark).
I created a facebook fan page for Expat Bostonians here. Right now it’s mostly just a feed of my new posts, but I’d really like for it to become a community. You can tell me about things in Singapore I should check out, request blog post topics, or if you want to write a guest post for the Guest POV tag it’s an easy way to get ahold of me.
Speaking of which, I also have an email address specific for the blog, expatbostonians@gmail.com if you ever want to get ahold of me in a less public forum.
I thought about a new twitter feed, but I’ve been making connections using my existing one, so I’ll still be on twitter as @crystalgeek78 if you want to connect there. I don’t auto follow but I try to regularly check out new followers and follow back (I don’t auto follow because of spam follows and having been burned a few times).
Congrats Crystal!
did you purchase the domain from WordPress, because the transition is seamless to me. I might consider doing the same one day 🙂 automatically redirected…it’s instant too.
Somehow I trust WordPress more than Go Daddy where I purchased my Singapore Actually Domain Address from….just way too much upselling for me.
Yes, I purchased the domain from wordpress directly and it was a fast and easy transition. I agree…I’m hesitant to do a third party domain. It just seems easier to use wordpress.
