Ellie and I made brownies…and after I gave her the whisk to lick (iPhone photos, so sorry if quality isn’t as high as normal). She refers to baking whether from a mix or from scratch as “making mix.”
And for the Elanor fans (and the grandparents) here’s a video of E playing with her dolls. I would caption it if I knew how (if you know how, let me know!).
E–Who wants to go in the highchair? Who wants to go in the high chair? You know, the BABY wants to go in the highchair! Mommy, do you think the baby wants to go in the highchair?
Me-Yeah, I think the baby likes the highchair. What’s the baby going to do in the highchair?
Me-Eat what? What’s the baby gonna eat?
E-Hmm. Um. (picks up stroller) The baby needs to go in the shopping cart, I guess. Get in the shopping cart. Who wants to go in the shopping cart? That’s right! The baby.
Me-Who pushes the shopping cart?
E-(ignores me) Vroom, vroom, vroom. What else do you want to do? Um, fly back to the highchair? Okay. (examines her doll, eventually puts it in the highchair). Uh-oh, he is so tired.
Me-What do we do when baby is tired?
E-(puts the doll in the crib) And the baby needs wake up wake up! Baby says wake up wake up!
Me-The baby says wake up
E-Wake up. Who wants to go roller skating? Who wants to go roller skating. (heaves a sigh) Who wants to go roller skating? You’re right, the baby don’t want to go roller skating. Who wants to go roller skating? (picks up “grandma doll”) You’re right! Grandma wants to go roller skating. Wants to go I think (some mumbling) Woah! Look at her! She’s roller skating (mumbles as she tries to put the grandma into the highchair).
