Today is Singapore’s 46th birthday–I made a cake.

That’s aweome. The cream looks delish 🙂 And you got the colours perfect, just like on the flag.
I had left over cake batter after making cupcakes for E’s class, so I just poured it into a bread pan (to get the nice rectangle). I divided the frosting into 1/3, 2/3rds…dyed 2/3rd red (more of a pinky red than I’d like, but good enough) and left 1/3 white. Then I just used icing to draw the moon and stars. More of a spur of the moment kind of thing, but yummy 🙂
Looks beautiful and delicious! Sounds like you are feeling better too (at least personally I have no ability to bake when I can’t look at food).
Thanks
Unless I’m actively nauseous I can bake 🙂 But it’s telling that I used a box mix…I never use box mixes or pre-made frosting. For me that’s a HUGE concession to the fact that I don’t have the energy to do more labor intensive baking 🙂
