Thaipusam is a very moving Hindu holiday (celebrated primarily by Tamil observers) in which devotees carry kavadis (or burdens) from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple in a show of faith. Some of these are small jars, but others are massive.
On Feb 3, 2015, I made time to visit Sri Thendayuthapani Temple to see the end of the Thaipusam route that devotees walk carrying Kavadis.
Thank you to all the very kind people who allowed me/encouraged me to take their pictures today. This is only a small fraction, but contains some of my favorite images.
